This will be the new home of our "repetitive readers". Books that recycle vocabulary in the story and through narrative teach language in a controlled fashion. The are L1 and authentic, even better for learning!  Always lots of spin off activities and lesson plan extensions for the basic story/text.

Here are many of these great readers already elsewhere on EFL Classroom 2.0.

1. Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

2. Green Eggs and Ham

3. There was an old lady who swallowed a fly

4. Hole in the bucket

5. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

6. From Head To Toe

7. Not A Box

8. This is the house that Jack built

9. The Little Mole

10. Frog Went A Courting

11. The Cat Came Back

12. Goodnight Moon

13. Blue hat, Green hat

As mentioned above - There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly is a great repetitive song/reader to do with students.

Use with the ppt first, then play the song and sing together. Students can also put the flashcards in order after listening. Can they remember?

Write with this simple worksheet. Students draw things to illustrate the sentences they write for - "If you swallow a ............, you'll .................................

Download the video

Here is a great storybook using "if" - If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.   Besides teaching grammar, it teaches kids cause and effect.

Use with the worksheets and roleplay.   Download the video for listening/reading after the ppt.
