#62 It's a Wonderful World - Celebrating the Earth ( Int.)

62 Wonderful World

This is a very fun and easy to do lesson.

1. Warm up by asking the students/brainstorming why the world is wonderful. Write the student's answers on the board as you discuss or have them also do this in groups, filling out a webmap or graphic organizer....

2. Play the song and sing -- It's A Wonderful World.  Give the attached lyric sheet handout and have them listen and fill in the missing words.

Find more videos like this on EFL CLASSROOM 2.0

3. Get the students to cut up each line of the song sheet! (they love this!) and then mix up their pieces. Ask them to listen and put it together. You will need to listen to the song several times for this!

4. Give the students this Story Frame (attached) and using the things brainstormed, the students draw their wonderful world and describe the things they think make it wonderful!

Bingo -- you have a WONDERFUL lesson.  You might also try this video showing the earth in one year!

Students can also read the book and study the vocabulary as flashcards on GifLingua.

None of the resources in this lesson will open, the lyric sheet and lesson saves as a pdf but can't be read and the ppt just says there are errors.  I download files of this type often and never have a problem.  What do you think is going on here?

Hi Sarra,

Can you share what device you are using to download with?  Also post an exact link (right click on your mouse and click "copy" then paste it in your reply.   Might also be that your school is blocking access? Some have a block on anything but listed sites and you'll have to contact your tech co-ordinator to put us on the approved list.  But first, try from a different machine, computer, device if possible.

I tried all links and they work.

Also, try to "right click" and "save as" . This will download on your computer. But you might not have the software to read the pdf.  You can get the free reader here - https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/
