Tarheel Contest Winners!

The Tarheel Contest has come to a close. I appreciate all the teachers who took the time to use this great tool! Thank you to Tarheel Creator Gary Bishop also! We had many entries but the two winners of $100 Amazon gift certificates are:

Laura Gibbs - The Dog and the Wolf

Ellen Pham - One, Some, Many

Congratulations to both fine entries. I really believe in the power of "a book" and these two are really powerful examples of the new power of online books.

We are 2 Years Old! - Let's Celebrate!

It was 2 years ago today that I started this small network. What change I've seen and a big round of applause and thanks to each teacher and student who has helped make us "a community". I remember waiting expectantly for that first member - go here to see who that was! No advertisment, no emailings, just me, sharing my ideas and belief in Web 2.0 to really make a difference and connect teachers.

It's been more successful than I've ever dreamed so I ask you all to sign our guestbook and send a shout out about the community (and leave your web address!). Also, over the next few months I'll be gathering feedback for an overhaul of our community - please add your own comments in our User Voice. In Sept. we will have a new tag "click 'n go" feature - I'm sure you'll find it worth the wait. In the meantime, use the search boxes to find all you need OR leave a message in the chat and someone will help you out!
