Teaching Kindergarten students here in Korea

Can anyone give me a breakdown on what it's really like to teach kindergarten students here in Korea? Is it an easy job? Is it teaching or babysitting? I would welcome any feedback on this because I'm considering applying to a couple of kindergarten positions.DanSee More

Dan's folder in Mediafire

Is full a many interesting things. I work in an elementary school. I'm creating some things for my lessons that you can't find on the internet. I also teach a special advanced class. When I upload my files for a certain theme, you will find all of the files and docs that I used in my lesson preparation. So if you are teaching the same subject or theme, you won't have to search the internet like I do to find a certain file or document. I have almost all of the Magic English Videos and I will be uploading them in the near future. There is also an entire e-book library for downloading. I will be adding more books in the near future. There are also children's worksheets from A-Z, Middle, High school, and adult worksheets as well. There will more exciting games that I have made for a few of my classes and you can't find them anywhere else on the net because I make them up.

Hi Dan, thanks for the friendship! I'm sorry it took me so long to respond... I haven't been online much in the last month. It's wonderful to see the resources you are sharing with us here : )

Hi Dan,

I found your resources in Media fire. I like the doctor role-play activity you made. It is a level that the kids in our school can follow and complete the task.
Thank you,

From,

Christopher

Hey Dan,

Could you put up links to your materials here on your page. Just use a textbox - so member's can find your mediafire folder. Also, you might want to just start a discussion in the Sharing Resources forum and label it DAN'S BEST. There, put the link to mediafire and also a few of your most highly recommended resources...... This would help members find them/you!

thanks always,

David

Dan,

Great stuff and yes, that is a much better way to present and let members find your materials. I'll be making a post about your materials and how to find them, mid month , in an emailing to members. Wonderful!

Enjoy the weekend, I hear the weather will be fine...

Hi Dan,

Great stuff! What you got to do is just put the files into the next discussion (reply). Others can comment below it. But also, when you click "Add Comment", it will upload the files but after it finishes, you have 15 min. to edit. Click your comment and then you will see an icon, a blank piece of paper. Click on it (it is beside the camera icon for photos). Then upload your file and repeat until you have all your files in one place...

The other option for sharing is to upload to our mediafire account. http://mediafire.com/eflclassroom ID/pw eflclassroom@mail.com / eflclassroom Just creat a folder for yourself called Dan Carty and upload. Add the link in a discussion here. Also just handy to do this for a backup of your files when you might need them online...

Hope this helps and yes, I will make a screencast about how to do this shortly! needed!

Cheers,

David

Hi Dan,

What a wonderful list of favorite things! Except for the health, they are all favorites of mine too (I know, I know, health should be a favorite!)

We have many teaching resources here that I hope you'll find useful and enjoy. Please visit our Welcome Page for lots of information about the community. Also, many handy tips for getting around this site and doing what you want to do can be found in the discussion, Using EFL Classroom 2.0.

There's always more to explore. If you are looking for a quick, effective activity, Lessons in a Can can't be beat. We have a big collection of Karaoke songs, especially suited for EFL use. There are many sources for professional development throughout the site (here's one big example!) ...and I'm always finding something interesting and new just by clicking around : ). Let me know if I can be of any help in finding or using a resource, it really is my pleasure.

When you have a moment, please share your experience and resources with us, too. Introduce yourself, share more about your country in our World Connections, start or respond to a discussion, post a video or blog- let's keep creating a great teaching and learning community together!

All the best,

Ellen
