"Yep, so true Victoria. It's something we all have to do - have our filter up and make sure it is appropriate for the culture/environment in which we are teaching. Gets easier with experience and begins to work unconsciously.
"I saw him speak at this weekends Kotesol Int. conference. He didn't have much time but "saved" the conference for me after a few lack lustre David Nunan presentations and some mishits and misfits of other presentations I attended.
"Dear Leny, Nice to hear from you!
I've searched the photo you mentioned but to no avail! Sorry! The only one I liked is this one posted here. How do you like it? This site is absolutely fantastic, isn't it? I'm so glad I came across…"
I teach in a public school in Curitiba. I think you know what it means... At the moment I try to learn about wikis and I have one where my students can access class content. It´s the beginning, there is a long way ahead. It will…"
"Eduardo, for kids who can really get into this stuff (the minutia would drive me crazy!), you might want to check out Pixton Comics, I wrote about the site here, and continue to adore the updates I get- there is something so visually appealing about…"
"We teachers know how much students dislike writing compositions. So why don't we make this homework more fun? I asked students to make a short video about a person's life and his daily activities. What is interesting for us teachers is…"

I teach in a public school in Curitiba. I think you know what it means... At the moment I try to learn about wikis and I have one where my students can access class content. It´s the beginning, there is a long way ahead. It will be nice if you add something about Brazil in Brazilian way group.
Some years ago I saw a magazine cover, it was the map of Brazil and on it there were many photos of people and nature. I tried to find it in the internet but I haven´t found it yet. Do you have any suggestion or photo? We need an icon.
That is a great program, Eduardo! BTW, my daughter is old enough (27) that you need her permission to kiss, and my sons (19 & 21) probably wouldn't accept kisses from anyone but family and girls, but it was a sweet gesture :)
I just put up a slideshow on my page of my family- maybe you should take a look so you know who you are talking with :D
That really is a great program, Eduardo... when you have time, tell me more about what you do in class... I will keep trying to think of new things too : )
Welcome to EFL Classroom! Thank you for sharing your blog- I think it will be quite useful to intermediate/advanced learners/teachers. I've included it in our new members blog roll, in the right column : ).
We have many resources that I hope you'll find useful and enjoy. Please visit our Welcome Page for lots of information about the community.
There's always more to explore. If you are looking for a quick, effective activity, Lessons in a Can can't be beat. We have a big collection of Karaoke songs, especially suited for EFL use. There are many sources for professional development throughout the site (here's one big example!) ...and I'm always finding something interesting and new just by clicking around : ). Let me know if I can be of any help in finding or using a resource, it really is my pleasure.
When you have a moment, please share your experience and resources with us, too. Introduce yourself, share more about your country in our World Connections, start or respond to a discussion, post a video or blog- let's keep creating a great teaching and learning community together!
All the best,
