Hi Jim,

Thank you for the response, but anyway I really have this feeling of being useless in teaching language among my tertiary students, since spelling is one of the major problems that I have noticed from them. They are into abbreviations and each time they write something for their technical papers, they cannot avoid from using them especially in their technical papers. I am so disappointed that no matter what methods I apply for them still I end up with the same result, although minimal this time.

I am teaching Communication Arts among tertiary students mostly I.T students. I am doing my best to let them acquire the second language with the use of technology but I am not pretty sure if the ones that I am using is quite useful for them. Can you suggest or share an advice for me?

Thanks Jim.

Hi Jim,

Welcome to EFL Classroom! Glad you found us.

I just want to take the time to say hello personally. When I started this community last year that was my promise to myself, to keep things personal, human.

Please see our Welcome Page for lots of useful information about the community. Also, please consider making a Project Peace video with your class, if you are a teacher. The project will be running all 2009.

Wishing you a great 2009,

David
