Women in ELT - Can you help?

Posted on June 20, 2009 at 7:58am 2 Comments

Hi ya,

This is a call-out for help on a piece I would like to do soon on my blog about women in the field of English language teaching, linguistics or anything related to TESOL, TEFL, TESL...

Could you please tell me who influenced your teaching and/or who inspired you to become a better English language teacher?

HOWEVER, there is a small catch - I don't want just names ;-).

I want details!

i.e. not, = Penny Ur

Hi Karenne,

I hope all is well. I read your interview with Alex - great stuff and a lot of good plain spoken advice!

However, I'm contacting you because I've put together a new blog "feed" tool. I'm going to post on BELT but want to get your thoughts first.

Users simply click a blog link and get an rss feed for that blog. Soon, I'll have a print function, so users can get a hyperlinkable pdf of that feed too. But wondering what you think and / if you'd also like to make a page of it on BELT. If there is demand, I may even think about making a fully public page.

Enjoy the weekend,

At 12:30am on September 9, 2009,

Thanks so much for the birthday greetings! I'm just overwhelmed by so many people remembering - one of the nice things about "community".

I hope all is well your way and as always, I'm sure your brain is ticking with lots of ideas that we'll all benefit from..
