Hi Susie, wow I haven't been here for a while, I quit teaching about 2 years ago, and now build private social networks for schools and other educational orgs in Israel. I'm afraid that as far are songs go I'm really out of the picture. However I have a contact who may be able to help you I'll send you her email in a private message.
Good to hear from you and good luck with the return home. I just did it and there are challenges but don't get too nervous - it will all work out! I'm sure your experience will be valued in Israel for sure. Especially with the amount of immigrants there.
I've been working at a TEFL certificate course but haven't had the time to commit to get it off the ground. I'd suggest first, finding out from someone on the ground in Israel (like Susan below - she'd know) , what courses are accredited and regarded. Different countries have different requirements. Even here in Canada, you have to have only one course/diploma. All others, even M. Ed. like I have an AQ (teacher's courses) and in addition to this basic requirement. I'll have to do it and nothing else, if I want to teach ESL. Start there to make sure your time is used wisely. That's my first step.....
Just was your chat with David. I think you've got something! So, some pointers: you have a blog on your page, at the top of it you have 3 links: my page, my friends and my blog. That's if you want it on your page. You can also post it under resources, games&power point
Thank you for showing me this site. It's great. I like the karaoke, and the videos and online games. And the websites they list are so interesting. You're right. It's changed my life! :)
Hag Sameach to you too. where do you live in Israel. Korea has been good as far as teaching. Good experience but nothing like Israel. I will be visiting on my break Dec 18 to Jan 5. Looking forward to visiting with my friends
Nice meeting you too. Actually I'm coming home for about 3 wks. Do you think we would have time to meet. It's great you turned EFL classroom into a Hebrew sight. I'm wondering about looking for a job
however I have to brush up on my Hebrew. I'm and artist and was selling my work in Israel. I have a M.A. in art. But I do at least have a M.A. degree. I wonder about the job opportunities most of my teaching is from Korea. I only taught one year in a public school and then taught privately most of the time. What do you think?
