The Speech Accent Archive
is for all those linguistic enthusiasts out there. A well organized site full of audio of how speakers from all over the world speak English. Ever wonder how an Uzbeki would sound like? No problem, click on the map
and compare with many other regional speakers.
I like how this site is so easy to use. It would also be a great resource for students to use and could help train their ear for regional variations of pitch/tone/stress (accent). As the world is moving more towards a form of "international standard English", exposure to all these other non - native speakers of English will be almost essential.
Another site along the same lines is IDEA - International Database of English Accents
Not as friendly to use but with a larger library of extra resources....

I made using the Speech Accent Archives! Guess the Accent!
Not so easy but a good review for higher level students.
