David Brooks is a guy I love to read. He thinks and sees deeper than the usual commentators out there. He's sensitive to those things we can't measure but which matter greatly - plus he's lucid in both his speaking and writing.
In this video lecture about his latest book:The Social Animal, he outlines what makes a successful person job applicant in Western society (and we should highlight that qualification).
Lots of great points outlined but I got to thinking that most also apply to what makes a great student, particularly a language student.
