This is my newest game - based on an old standard.

Play the music and pass around a piece of paper. Whoever has the paper when the music stops, must do what the slide says.... Continue playing.

Really easy and a great motivational tool to get students speaking and forgetting that big "affective filter"! You also can use it with your own material. Use either the General or Just do it version! [Get question handouts here]  See my full blog post about the game HERE.

I love the muppets
manama na na ma na manama na?

Seriously - next Month I'm going to make some more games using pictures (much more effective for 2nd language acquisition - more prompt with visuals). I'll be using the Batman theme next!
Here are 3 new "low level" games meant to get students producing language...

Pass the Paper level 1
Pass the Paper Pictures 1 (no prompt - Can do Kid song - click to get video at the end)
Pass the Paper Pictures 2 (with prompt)

Some more "generic" style pass the paper games!

1. Pass the paper Just Do it (teacher prepares something for the student with the paper to do)
2. Pass the paper General ( choose a list or handout of conversation questions. Students use these to ask a question or just use as you wish! )
3. Pass the paper Ask a Question (great for practicing questions or an icebreaker and evaluating student's levels..)

Another pass the paper game, more vocabulary oriented.

Here's the flash game - Pass the Paper Name It.

Just take whatever vocabulary theme you are teaching and play. Students must name using the letter prompts and get points. With the ppt, you can mix up the slides so they don't know the letters in advance... Give a set time to name.

Two more pass the paper games.

1. Crazy Questions. > Students answer and then ask follow up - who/what/where/when/why/how questions.

2. Korean celebrities > but can be modified for any country, very easily.
