Got any good ideas for teaching it or using it in the classroom?

Students can study and learn the alphabet on Gif Lingua

This is my favorite Alphabet video.... I also used those phonics things/videos on the practice page in phonics. They are cool.

This is a great livebinder full of videos for each letter of the alphabet!

Your younger students will love this superhero and villain version of the alphabet!

Cool addition to this topic.  Video I voiced - over to help students. Use with sound off and ask the students to say the lines...  A is for .... , B is for .... etc...  Also students can now study this video on EnglishCentral.

I definitely like this alphabet "wall".  Good idea to make an alphabet wall in your class. In each box of the huge poster, students can write in their own new words for each letter.

Another great idea - have your students make the alphabet with their bodies!

A nice concept and video to teach the alphabet with. PPT is the same, attached.

One of David Lynch's earlier works. Creepy and I don't really understand it. Maybe someone can help me out. It definitely has the alphabet in it at least ...

If you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend Lynch's interview series, Project Interview, as he traveled across America. Even good for higher levels as listening/watching content.

Here is a nice "alphabet quiz" for beginners.  Cut up into cards and play!  Also some more handouts related to the alphabet.

This is a very thorough and interesting presentation to teach children about biodiversity and lifeforms through the alphabet.

Here are some nice "... is for ..." flashcards.

Also  full sheet you can print and have students draw and write in their vocabulary for each letter.

Also students can learn vocabulary with the alphabet through this set or this folder on Quizlet.

To teach alphabet you can :

  1. Use alphabet songs A, B, C, D which can be obtained a lot from Youtube.
  2. Use alphabet flash cards from A-Z, you can make flashcards online on a website that provides free flash card, or offline by making your own flashcards from colourful/origami paper, or maybe you can buy a flash card at the nearest bookstore/ online shop.
  3. Memorize the alphabet of a word, for example, you write the word BOOK and you ask the children to memorize all the alphabets of the word.
