About

I had a lengthy chat on Google Talk today with an old member (calls are free in N.A. until 2012!). He commented that there is so much "great" content on the community that gets buried.

I've been mulling it over and he's right. We do need to "turn over the earth" to use farmer speak. If you don't, the earth goes infertile. So - each day or a few times a week, I'll post up a "Blast from the Past". Not the usual most popular items but something from a blog or discussion that was superb but didn't really get its due attention. Maybe a link to the original or maybe a repost.

If you have anything you'd like to rejuvenate - GO AHEAD!  We are now over 3 years old and still growing madly. We need these gems.

This is an amazing story from about 3 years ago - by Rick Smolan a photographer who tells of us encounter and adoption of a Korean girl in the late 60s. Amazing. The original post is here. See all the KOREA blog posts too.

Amazing experience, larger than life. Thanks for bringing it back from the past.

Merry Xmas to all the members of EFL Classroom, special wishes for Ellen.

merry Xmas to you too!  Ellen is fine - got an email from her and she is busy taking courses for a "new" career.

Today's Blast from the past is about a man took a photo a day for 18 years!  See them here.

Get all the links about this amazing man on the original post.

This video was posted a while back. Didn't get the looks I think it deserves. Perfect for teaching numbers and age.

Uh-oh, the eighties don't look so easy!!

Hi Rosa! Happy New Year!!!

today, I'm suggesting an old post of mine that I think is pretty insightful - The 7 Sensational sins of Great Teachers.

Great teachers break a lot of rules!

Every year, I used to "host" many teachers for a session on co-teaching (foreign teachers have to coteach with a Korean colleague in Korean public schools). Lots of fun. Here's a Project Peace blast from the past video I made one year....

Here is our old directory! Actually lots of links not available now that still work!

I'd also recommend for fun, taking a look at the site through the Way Back Machine. We've certainly transformed!

We used to have this audio translator available.  Still works and here it is.... great to refer your students to.
