About

As you probably know by now - I'm a big fan of EnglishCentral and the technology it allows teachers / students to use for language learning. I've been helping them out and pounding the pulpit.

One thing I'd like to see is for EC to have some blended learning content. A book teachers could use in conjunction with the great videos that students can use for self directed learning. The quizzes on EC are also superb.

So I sat down and starting at the very low level - came up with this booklet. As a template.

I'd love it if others could take a look at the general format. Provide suggestions.

I was inspired to follow a side by side kind of cloze approach. This way, students can either use the videos as a listening activity in class, whole class. And/or then personalize the dialogue with their own words and actually learn by engaging and manipulating language.

After school or in a language lab - students could then practice using EnglishCentrals speech recognition tools.

What do you think? Would you use this if available in other levels or categories (famous speeches / business / sport  etc....) ?
