Is feedback given after five minutes of classroom observation valid?

I teach EFL in a Taiwanese primary school and my principal feels she can give me useful feedback about classroom activities based on up to five minutes of observation. More seriously, that it is her duty to do so. She justifies this without knowing the lesson plan, the related curriculum goals, the purpose of the activity, how it fits into the progression of lessons, what went before it in that lesson, or what will follow it next.

Am I being unreasonable in suggesting that this sample is too small to base any judgements upon? Or that knowing the context (mentioned above) might lead her to a completely different conclusion?

I would appreciate your thoughts. Perhaps I'm just being over-sensitive.
