Starting Tutoring 11-12 year old small group of two girls and a boy. Lower Intermediate Level.

Hey all, I'm starting Tutoring 11-12 year old small group of two girls and a boy of a lower intermediate level.

I was wondering does anyone have any recommended coursebooks or material that would be useful to this group. I haven't specifically taught this before and it would be nice to have some ideas about what people have used for this before.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Richard,

Yes, not an easy task but at least it is a small group and that usually works out well with the right materials.

Have you looked at the Teach Learn coursebook for members here? http://community.eflclassroom.com/forum2/topics/teach-learn

I'd also go for board games with them, get a pair of dice and print out some in our resources.

Also flashcard games work well and you can get piles to print and play with game suggestions here.

You might also ask this on our LinkedIn group.Discussion has gone there and its full of very active teachers with lots of experience and advice to share.
