However, we really need some more empirical data and research undertaken. Any teachers out there thinking of doing some research and maybe considering EnglishCentral as a possible research point?
It could be just on a classroom level, as action research. Or it could be part of an MA / M.Ed thesis or program. Even might be something program directors could initiate with their teachers or students.
Let me know if you might consider doing some research and I can help where necessary. It would be a great way to present at a conference and look into practical areas of SLA.
PS. EnglishCentral is also reaching out to guest bloggers. If you are interested in widening your audience and posting on the EnglishCentral blog - please let me know!
I am currently doing a Masters and using EFLClassroom 2.0 as a model of an e-learning community for an assignment. I am also developing an e-learning implementation into curriculum through teacher education at my workplace in Sydney, Australia. I would have to chat with my DoS but there might be a possibility we can trial things and maybe do the research you are after. I would have to know more about it and to understand what it involves. However, I am interested and if you are still looking for interested parties we might just be that.
