Tom Hanks is delightful in this very teacher and class friendly movie - BIG.  Did you also know it is a great Christmas movie?

Get the DVD and watch the whole film with students using the full activity book + answer key.  I spent a long time making this book and trialing it out with a number of classes. Works like a charm.

Just follow the scenes in the student book.  1. Show the scene.  2. Complete the activities  3. Show the scene again and take up. Full instructions in the book.

You'll need to get the dvd to present the movie in class. But some scenes have videos included.

Present the story of the film with this leveled reader.

Here's the movie trailer ....  Show to get students remembering the film and excited.

I have downloaded Big - the movie workbook, and at some point it says "Look at the card your teacher has given you. ". What does it mean? Is there a teachers lesson plan for this workbook? What to do before each part and which parts of the movie to use, etc?

Hi Ingunn,

Sorry for any confusion.  The cards are regarding the earlier 3 wishes game. I've attached them here. Students state their wishes and if a student has a genie card that can grant the wish they stand up and say "Your wish is granted. Poof!".

Here is a sample activity from the workbook - the scene where they dance on a giant keyboard and perform the "chopsticks".  Plus answer key.

Download for offline use and viewing.
