Here are some materials to get students thinking about their rights as citizens. Also for US students - learning about the Bill Of Rights and the amendments to the constitution. 

1. Ask students to fill out their own Bill Of Rights. See attached graphic organizers.

2. Students can read these books on Gif Lingua or present them in class to introduce the concept. 1.Bill of Rights  Bill Of Rights Quiz & Flashcards 2. Your Rights  3. Human Rights Heroes

This TED ED video is a good intro into the Bill of Rights.

The Rights of Readers is a great poster and list of things that as readers students should have. Get them making their own list and then see how it compares to the original using this template. 

Students can read the book or present it in class as a warm up or wrap up activity. 


Use this template to get students to research a person who championed Human Rights.
