Another great resource with some free comic materials is Classic Comics.   I love that they include different text level versions and also versions with no text (so students can fill in the bubbles!  Costly but the free versions are great for a start.

Here are some more materials to help you get students using English and writing in class by filling in speech bubbles to complete comics. Great ideas.

This one is a nice one. Real comics with the bubbles erased.

Here are a couple of nice templates for students to fill in and make their own comic.

I think every student will like Garfield!  Here is a nice powerpoint with fill in the bubbles and the originals!

Students can choose a comic and write their own with the template/worksheet pdf.

This is a really nice powerpoint presenting the different types of comics and how they are constructed. Also a nice few slides that are quiz type and challenge students. Use with the worksheet.

More comic blanks for students to get creative with!

Here are some very nice empty bubble templates for students to design their own comics and draw. Cool!

Also a Garfield comic that students can fill in to make and share their own comic strip.

Here is a nice download pdf of comic making materials teachers can use.  Instantly get students writing and using their English in a creative fashion.
