I was wondering what you all thought of learning designs pertaining to English language teaching? What are the ways in which you design your lessons to achieve better learning in your students?Continue


It's easy to do.  Just take a commercial and remove the sound. Students are then challenged to rewrite and then perform/narrate using their own transcript/text. 

Here's one I made that you can use immediately. Reminds me of the old but infamous Bombay TV site where students could produce a video with their own text and translated subtitles,  online.....

Another great commercial for rewriting.  Shaq and Tyga having a conversation. What will your students write up for the conversation? Could be hilarious. 


And of course, this commercial rewrite sheet is handy - a way to rewrite a classic commercial. 

Here is a basic blank dialogue for students to use to make / film a tv commercial in class. Lots of fun!
