Here are some great materials to get students thinking about the greatest scientists of all time and presenting on their research.

Use the "Sciencebook" templates to have students research a famous scientist and present in class. 

See this presentation for a quick summary of possible scientists to research. 

Also a nice brainstorming template to see what students already know!

Here is a nice pptx version of the Famous Scientists presentation. A full review of all the main scientists of past and modern history. 


Sad that this video ends with Newton! 

Don't see anything sad in that. Nothing chronological about the video and list.  Just #1 is Newton - not so much for his discoveries but his breadth of science and his fundamental views on physics still hold sway today (at least in terms of mechanics).
