About

Here are a couple of older Golden Bell style powerpoints.  Also see our Jeopardy games and triva related materials

Students keep playing until they miss a question.

They start standing and sit down when wrong....

The game has a lot of variations. The traditional game based on a popular TV show is quite strict.

All students or each group of students have a min whiteboard (easy to make, just laminate sheets of blank paper and provide each student or group with an erasable marker and kleenex/cloth).  Ask each question (or get a student to be the quiz master) and students write their answer down and hold up all at the same time.

Those incorrect are out of the game and have to sit somewhere else or stand up/sit down. Continue until one group or one student is left. They get to ring the golden bell as champion.

Variations include putting in a free pass into the game. If that appears on a question, students who are out of the game can get back in by correctly answering the question.

Another variation is to just play it with points. 2 points for correct. 0 for no answer  and -1 for an incorrect answer. Students or groups can't go below 0 points.

Make sense?

It's a huge game in Korea.
