About

This is a great topic that I'm sure all your students will be interested in - When is it appropriate / not appropriate to use your smartphone / cell phone / mobile phone?

This video highlights this issue well and is a good prompt for a lesson about phone etiquette.

1. Students answer the handout questions.

2. Students watch the video. Pause at each situation and ask the students what they answered?

3. Discuss the other handout questions.

4. Go over the Dos / Don'ts discussion sheet - do students agree with all of these?

Optional - Use some of the readings and quizzes attached to discuss the topic.

Extension -  Teaching English has a nice lesson on this topic.   Also, see this lesson plan.
