About

One constant theme has parading through my teaching career - I've continually beat the drum of peace and asked, encouraged, cajoled teachers to include this topic in any and all curriculum.

It's important, we teachers step up.

Here let's share and post lesson ideas related to peace.  Find Andrew Finch's fine article about Peace In Education attached - more food for thought.

Some resources you can immediately look for on the community:

Project Peace videos and peace packs - join the group.

The Peace Book   |    Give Peace A Chance handouts  |  The Big Snit video lesson planWhat can I change lesson plan   |    Remembrance Day   |    Videos tagged "Peace"  |  The Bridge

This video is a nice brainstorming activity. Have students brainstorm 10 countries they think aren't at war. See how many they match - 1 point for each. Who wins?  Then have a discussion - what makes a country "at peace".
