About

I have used these with advanced students. They are great and the full range can be found HERE.  This blog post I made, has further resources and ideas for using the Proust Questionnaire.

Each have basically the same questions. So once the students know the questions, you can use multiple times. Further, I usually would photocopy two copies. On one (A) - erase out the answers.
On the other (B) erase out the Questions. So when A-B do the interview, they have to listen carefully to each other and/or write the corresponding information.

Click on the picture to get a nice interactive online version.  Or here is one for reading what others submitted.  Get the powerpoint (below) of ALL the questions for use with students in class.

Search all the real questionnaires!

Interesting! Why are they called Proust interviews ( note: I know who Proust was :P) ?
Cristina,

I believe it is because Proust came up with the idea of using these kind of "deep" questions to analyze one's character.....

I hope soon enough to renew my old love affair with Marcel. There was always something in his writing that "flowed into me" - you know how it is when you connect with the mind of a writer.

Vanity Fair even did an imaginary Proust interview with Proust himself!
Hah! read it and wondering what he would have truly said. :)
Nice idea!
Adapted to work with young students:

Use flash cards to match in pairs (like the Memory game).

On one flash card, put a picture of an object, an animal or a landscape easy to identify. On the other flash card, write a simple qüestion. You can use fantasy characters from stories, to create the matching...

Example 1: Little Red Riding Hood qüestions:

-What is your favourite breakfast? Picture: a basket with cheese and biscuits
-Who is your worst enemy? Picture: The wolf
-Whom do you spend your weekends with? Picture: Granny
-Where do you get in trouble? Picture: The woods
-...

Example 2: Father Christmas
-Where do you life? Picture: North Pole
-What's your favourite vehicle? Picture: A sleigh
-What's you favourite animal? Picture: A Rain Deer
-... ...
You can eevn ask them to guess the hidden character, after matching qüestions and picture-answers...
Thank you for the idea!!

This site 10 Questions from TIME magazine, has a whole pile of celebrities asked 10 questions. An excellent resource for these types of interview activities.
Here is the handy power point of all the questions. To use with advanced students.  For a short time,Alice our chatterbot  can be interviewed using these questions!  Here is the handy flash presentation of the ppt.

Also visit Proust.com for a nice alternative way to use these questions. Students invite members and write answers to the questions.

Here is a video version of typical Proust questions.  Might be useful for doing a listening activity. Pause and get students to answer his questions then listen to the video answers.
