Here is a long list of discussion questions related to war. To get students thinking critically about this serious subject.

What can we do to stop wars?

Does war ever do any good?  Who benefits from war? How?

Do you think war is sometimes necessary to maintain peace? Why/not?

If your country were attacked, would you fight to defend it? Why/not?

Would you be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for your country? In other words, would you die for it? Would you fight in a war to save your country? Why/not?

Will there be another World War in our lifetimes? Why/not?
