I love the ageless, wise folk tales that exist through all cultures around the world. Most cultures have their own versions and there are similarities among them all (but its the differences that count).

We have many already here on the community and will try to list them here for your reference.

Find here many powerpoint stories, in simple language, that you can use in class. Read together or provide to the students for their own reading. Makes lessons based upon them....

Take a look at the story category on Gif Linugua.

Korean Folktales I've created are HERE. As well as audio retelling of those stories.

Find stories in our video library.  Also here.  Get loads of Aesop Fables.

Find some nice proverbs attached for use as stories in class.

A nice version of   The 3 Pigs     Also see these video versions of the story.

Here are a few nice Jack and the Beanstalk story resources. Makes it easy to retell the story for the students as they put the story back together again.

Beanstalk paper    Workbook 1    Workbook 2   Story mat

I love African folktales!  Here is an all time favorite and a reader with a number of stories. Here's a classic, copyright free edition with many stories.

Here are a couple of handy "minibooks". Fox and the crow and The ant and the grasshopper.

Just print and fold into a small book to read together. Also, complete the sentences to complete your own book!

Here are some nice presentations highlighting proverbs related to different animals. Really cool! Can your students guess and state the lesson they teach in good old plain English!?
