Here's a possible way to use:
1. Show the film. Let the students enjoy it!
2. After, ask the students what they know about Usain Bolt.
3. Retell the story as a class or in groups using the attached powerpoint. (add text if you want).
4. Rewrite the story after retelling. Use the images in pdf. Students cut out and make a simple small book with pages. See this bookmaking post for inspiration.
Purchase the full set of materials HERE and support EFL Classroom. Includes a full pptx with text and story writing worksheets.
Also students can read as a book and study the vocabulary on Gif Lingua.
Hat tip to Kieran Donaghy who sparked me to make this lesson with his post about the video HERE.
Here is another activity for this - students write a bio of a famous athlete. One student or pair can do one for Bolt. After designing and writing, students present their person/paper and then put them up on a wall for display! Inspired from these materials I made last year for making fake facebook profiles.
Also, here are a couple of cool ppts about Bolt that you might use as part of the main lesson. Or as an example.
Bolt is so cool and confident! So much so that it's baffling! :) Awesome video, thank you for sharing :)
