The Old Man And The Sea by Hemingway is a great story and novel, very accessible to intermediate and advanced English language learners.

Here are some worksheets and materials to use with the story, including the full novel in pdf.  Also use the animated video version with English captions. 

This activity pack has some materials too.

Students can also use the attached template to research the life of Ernest Hemingway and present to the class.
