I'd like to let members know about the amazing vocabulary learning experience on Gif Lingua. It's free and teachers can track students in reports. 

The first 1,000 words of English are studiable. Students click a book open and then study the 10 words in each book. Gifs provide powerful context to help students learn the word's meaning. 

See the handouts below that are also useful for printables in class. Each Gif Lingua vocab. book of 10 words comes with a Quizlet quiz to test, restudy as flashcards - those 10 words. 

Students can also study words through the Gif Lingua Web App. They just need to select the "vocabulary" theme from the app settings and the can load and study 10 words at a time.

This is a nice presentation for teaching vocabulary. 

1. Show students the slide and give them x minutes to brainstorm related vocabulary

2. Show the slide with suggested vocabulary. Did they get / match any of the shown vocabulary?  Discuss.
