This is a self produced video lesson based on the wonderful original WORDS by NPR. Get the lesson materials for that one - HERE. 

Students watch the first part of the video (no subtitles) and try to find the connection between the images and what each stand for.  

Next, watch with the worksheet. Students write down the words/expressions for each scene (see answer key).

Lastly, take up by watching the second part with subtitles showing the connections. 

It makes a great lesson on phrasal verbs or collocations. 

Students can read the books and study the vocabulary related to this and many vocabulary lists on Gif Lingua Books.
