Thanks for the posting of such a good material. I would like to give my contribution on this as well by posting an activity about the movie Shrek and some coloring pages.
Felipe, the Shrek stuff is great, I came across that once before...

Here are some worksheets/phonics stuff that might be helpful. And a few other helpers...100 web 2.0 ideas for educators.pdf
10 ways ........ teachers idea inspiration for writing and reading ...
I've made a voicethread of a funny children's alphabet book. I would be so happy to make more voicethreads of children's picture books, if someone can use them (my teenage and adult learners are not interested : ( ... I don't know why, I still like to read them!)

Just a note- I always change the width to 800 and the height to 600 when I use the threads.. but what might be even better is to make it open full screen... I think this link should do the trick... let me know if you want more...I work for encouragement!

This one is fantastic. I could do something very poetic with this...Do you have a directory of all your voicethreads? I want to get all the addresses? So I can put them in our directory or start to devise a way to share. Maybe start a voicethread thread here?

Here are a thank you based activities to do with young learners.. Great for a last lesson !
I think I've shown all of them to you, David! I am happy to share the url of my voicethreads, but I keep ones that are in progress, or didn't quite work but I might fix, or pages I cut but might use in another, in there too : ). I think it would be great to have a directory of member's VT's here on EFL, and also a group where we could share with other VT creators for feedback, advice and creative ways to use the tool. For example, I didn't realize you can talk "back & forth" in a VT until Shanie showed me one of yours- we giggled and played around for quite a few minutes after that, and I am still thinking about how I could incorporate that feature into the VTs I make (also, I just adored the "Dr. Love" VT you had in the surprise box recently :) ) And I haven't tried adding a URL page to a VT... how have people used that feature? And I just realized you can add videos and MP3s... it takes me awhile to discover these features, I just don't see everything all at once! Now I am thinking of ways individuals could add their own pages to a VT I start... stuff like that :)

I really like voicethreads, though I think the product is overpriced! ($60 a year? Too much!) And then there is the user side- how do I effectively communicate to students, online and who don't speak English, how to use the voicethread, especially as my ideas get a bit more complicated... all stuff that would be nice to talk about with others...

I was really excited about Karafun too, but most of my students use Macs... it probably won't work, but I'm going to try adding a kfn file to a voicethread and see what happens : )

Your site has been of great help!!!!! You posted a few days ago Korean project for

middle school students . I'm looking for it on your site.

Hey David, I just noticed that you responded to my VT- very poetic!! Now that I have been encouraged, I am going to make a verb, "to do" VT, with a reading of Green Eggs & Ham at the end : ) Maybe this weekend....
Here are a few vocab things. One, cards/lists of basic vocab for students to use for guessing games...
Here are some more resources. Especially stellar for teachers is Joan Shin - super and full of ideas!

Here is a nice "Picture Dictation" 2 way task.  Read more about 2 way tasks here.  Or two way tech tasksHERE.

Pre teach the vocabulary and then in pairs, each student describes their picture and the other draws. Compare with the original at the end.

Here is a nice set of worksheets and activities for famous kid's songs.  See our Karaoke in the classroom for most versions of these songs, also here.  Download the karafun player and then each song to a folder on your computer. Play offline. Works perfectly.

Also our Nursery rhyme ppt and worksheets
