It is a pity that all music videos are no longer available.

Comment by ddeubel on November 19, 2009 at 10:21pm

which music videos? Do you mean those on youtube we used to have? Lots of music videos still available. Also our karaoke videos. HERE.

Hi ya,

you might like to check out Nickleback - Someday in the Videos 4 Listening: Beg - Adv. section. The video no longer works for it, as there's a copyright issue apparently.

Thanks for these, they're much like I've been creating myself, but are great when running out of time and you need something for students in a hurry. I plan to use many of these during my Wintercamps.

Helpful , with dramatisation, learners will be able not only to enhance their auditory skills, but, also, to ameliorate their overall language capapbilities...Wonderful job....

The videos by Alanis Morrisette, Coldplay and Inxs are not available, which is a pity. There may be more as I haven't checked all of them (just those I'm interested in). I wish it could be solved. Cheers

The videos need to be replaced, Alberto (youtube took them down) but it's not our file, it's from ESL Video, and I can't get into the file to fix it!

A make-shift solution is pretty simple, though. Just find a copy of the song on youtube, download it using Keep It, and use with the questions, transcripts, etc on ESL Video.

I know, kind of defeats the purpose of having a ready-made exercise to use : )

I've attached the file for the Alanis Morrisette song anyway... Cheers!hand in my pocket.mp4

Big help I'm sure, thx. Alberto, as Ellen related, music that comes from Youtube is subject to the draconian vice grip of big corporations that make sure it can't be shared at all. So yes, use and make your own library as you go (Ellen, keepvid is working now!).

Try listening to as manyEnglish songs as you can ,as well as watching English films without subtitles and/or English subtitles to enhance not only your auditory skills, but also, to better intonation, stress, rhythm ,pronunciation, to improvegrammar and lexical usage, and why not improve receptive vocabulary?????

Beautiful stuff! I appreciate your generosity and kindness. I wish I could upload some Chinese folk songs here.
Comment by Ellen Pham on March 27, 2010 at 6:55am
Yaodong, why don't you start a discussion for the Chinese folk songs? Or start a group for China in our World Connections page, and add the songs there? Or both? I am sure other members would be very interested in a China group.

If you click on the icon above the comment boxes that looks like a piece of paper, you can upload the mp3 files... if you have any trouble with posting, I am happy to help.
