Sad Love Story

Posted on September 7, 2008 at 9:03pm 0 Comments

This is a cute love story.

A boy had cancer and he had one month before going far far away.

He had loved a girl working in a cd shop very much but he didn't know how to tell her about his love.

So, days by days, he passed by the cd shop and bought a CD but only to see and talk to her.

After one month, he died.

Serveral days not to see the boy, the girl went to his home and asked about him.

His mom told that he had died serveral… Continue

Welcome to my blog ! Today I want to tell you something about my hobbies and interests.

First, I love all kinds of music, like Pop , R&B , Country, and some others. When I lived in

Vietnam, in the summer time, I stayed at home every day, and I listened to music almost all the time.

I also like to hang out with friends and take pictures. I was a teen model for some magazines in my country . I like badminton , but actually I'm not very good at it . I have lived here for 3… Continue

Oh my! That's a complicated question right there since the choice of other, others, the other, and the others all depends
on context.

In very basic terms, we use "other" as an adjective: His other choice (notice we need a determiner, like his).

Others is a plural count noun, and usually makes a contrast with another group already mentioned. Notice it's a non-specific use of a plural noun: Some dogs have tails. Others do not. (Referring in general to a group of dogs).

With the article "the", the word "other" refers back to another specific person or thing, again as a contrast: There are two people at the table. One is wearing a hat, and the other is not.

Finally, the others refers refers to a specific group of people being contrasted with one or more: The first speaker is done. The others will continue after dinner.

Now, this is not comprehensive! The best way to figure out how to use them is to practice. Here is a quiz that will help you:

http://a4esl.org/q/h/vm/anothertheother.html

I hope that helped begin to answer your question. Just keep studying, and I'm sure it will become clear very soon. Good luck!

Hello! I'm just checking who this is so that I can give you points for the first assignment. Would you send me a message with your name, please?

Also, was your original name "Jiro"? I have a jiro in my email notification, but not in "My Pals."

Thank you!
