I can't believe it, Patrick, I'm sure that is the joke! Just substitute a Scot for one of the Irish women. No wonder all I could remember from my childhood was the punch line, I'm sure I didn't understand what in the world the rest of the joke was talking about.

I do remember asking my mother once to explain it to me, and she said the joke was about how in the past the Irish and Scots would fight over anything... close enough : )

Thanks for the invite- I am proud to be an honorary Irish woman : )

Hi Patrick- I sure like your tag-line for the Irish group! My grandmother was Scottish, and told this joke about the Scots and the Irish... all I can remember was the punch line, Well piss in your hat, and the fight was on! I remember it because I was very surprised to hear her say piss : )

You wouldn't happen to know that joke, would you? :D

Oh, I just realized I read your tag-line wrong... I thought it said any person in any country was welcome to join... hmm, I'm getting a strange fighting feeling... better sign off! ; )

PS Your group is now linked to the World Connections chart

Great group - I'll try and hustle up others there. There are lots of Irish running around the world teaching! I just watched "50 dead men walking". Great film, very Irish.
