I was wondering what you all thought of learning designs pertaining to English language teaching? What are the ways in which you design your lessons to achieve better learning in your students?Continue
We have some good resources for reading intervention here. In fact, I'm an elementary teacher- I haven't taught ESL in many years... yet this is my 'home' ning : ). Always new, always free : D
David recently did a lot of research into the correlations between special ed and efl, and he's got some good resources from that. Also, good EFL materials often make good elementary materials, and vice versa. There's been research done on Karaoke as an effective remedial reading strategy, and we have a ton of karaoke files!
If you are having trouble finding what you want, I'd post a discussion in the main forum, with specifics about your students and teaching situation. I'm sure at least David and I will have suggestions of one sort or another!
Welcome to EFL Classroom! What a bright idea for an icon : ). Glad to have you with us.
We have many teaching resources here that I hope you'll find useful and enjoy. Please visit our Welcome Page for lots of information about the community. Also, many handy tips for getting around this site and doing what you want to do can be found in the discussion, Using EFL Classroom 2.0.
There's always more to explore. If you are looking for a quick, effective activity, Lessons in a Can can't be beat. We have a big collection of Karaoke songs, especially suited for EFL use. There are many sources for professional development throughout the site (here's one big example!) ...and I'm always finding something interesting and new just by clicking around : ). Let me know if I can be of any help in finding or using a resource, it really is my pleasure.
When you have a moment, please share your experience and resources with us, too. Introduce yourself, share more about your country in our World Connections, chat, start or respond to a discussion, post a video or blog- let's keep creating a great teaching and learning community together!
