The Top 5 things I hate about some blogs

Magritte-The_False_Mirror I usually stay FAR away from blogging about blogging. Not that I don't find this kind of introspection fun or revealing/engaging. Far from it. I just don't feel comfortable doing it and if there is one BIG rule when it comes to blogging, it is, blog about what you are comfortable with.

There you go, I've started blogging about blogging. LOL.

I decided to share my own "hates" and what I find distasteful on some blogs because I've noticed there seems to be a lot of… Continue

Students All Have Their Say on Web-based English Class

Below is quoted from my former students in Class011,Class031,Class032 and Class033.Their firm support to my e-class helped me move forward, carrying on my web-based English education. The best evaluation on education sometimes is from students themselves rather from educators.

I am glad to know some of them are now involved in e-learning and e-teaching in their own school.I really appreciate their…

My Online Classes since 2002

First 'online' class: (Vance Stevens visited my school in 2002 when the Internet classrooms were just set up. The picture below shows a class that had not had any experience online since there were very few classrooms hooked up to the Internet.Classes after 2004 were provided with much better e-classrooms in which each student could use a desktop that was connected to the Internet. That made the beginning of Yaodong's REAL online classes.) --------Yaodong…

The Sopranos and the indelible nature of language

sopranos Can you be my psychiatrist? May I admit something? I've always had a severe sensitivity to language - especially the proclivity to pun incessantly. I kid you not - full blown Foerster's Syndrome. It is under control but today I've had a hard day with the word, "indelible". It has been in every second sentence and almost every thought.

I looked it up:

Definition of… Continue

eTeaching video room - your thoughts?

eteach This next year, I'll be setting up my own eTeaching system and doing online teacher training. Mostly out of interest and to see if I can do it. As part of that process, I'm presently setting up my own audio/video eteaching suite. And since I'm doing it for myself, I thought, "why not do it for everyone?". Technology has that benefit, once you do it for yourself, it costs little to share it.

So, I'd like to ask what you are looking for in an eteaching system. You know, I've… Continue
