About

"All About Me" "Back In Town" "Please Please Me" "Two Shots"
I hope you too can't get enough of this great talent from Toronto, Canada. He's been around for a few years but I've only got on to him recently. The verse and melody lines along with a great band arrangement make him a very fresh sound of a classic style. Love it!

I bring these here as part of my focus of using melody and emotion to teach English. Take the video I included on David's Karaoke discussion page of "When You Wish Upon a Star . . .". The song, meaning and visuals are so rich to the ear, emotion and eye. Word tied to melody is valuable to "burning in" if you will, the ways of English. Matt's song's contribute to that end as many songs do.

I'll be adding my own vocals to the "backing tracks" I have. One of real interest is Billy Joel's "River of Dreams".

Even though I know the river is wide
I walk down every evening and stand on the shore
I try to cross to the opposite side
So I can finally find what it is I've been looking for
