April Mid Month Updates

Dear Teachers,

I hope everyone is having a great time teaching. It's never easy but I'm sure almost 100% of us despite the work and struggles, overall get so much in return for coming to class day in and day out.  Here are a few updates from this month on the community.

1. Using Video In The Classroom.  Virtual Roundtable Conference.

April 25th to 27th the Virtual Roundtable Conference will be held.  I'll once again be presenting and welcome everyone to listen in and participate online. Find out more about my sessions highlighting my work on EnglishCentral and the role video is playing to transform language instruction here >>>>

2.  Blasts From The Pasts

We've been highlighting old but valuable content on the community. Worth taking a look at these classics here >>>

3. Sugata Mitra

He created a lot of discussion within English Language Teacher after his plenary at IATEFL.  Here's my own post about what I feel are the two most important contributions he's making to how we think about how students should learn and become educated.  Also links to many other fine posts. Read:  The Ignorant Schoolmaster >>>

4.Teaching The English Language Magazine.

I've been putting in a lot of effort to curate only the best articles for English language teachers. Become a subscribe and read on your phone, tablet or in your browser. I'm proud of my magazine and think it a wonderful way for teachers to keep abreast with the changing nature of our profession.  Read it here >>>>

5.  It's FREE - Get Talkin'

Our Digital goods store offers so many freebies for teachers.  I know you've read this far, so also want to reward you with something really great for teaching - my ebook "Get Talkin'".  For this week only the price is set "FREE".

6. Video of the mid-month

Last but not least, want to mention this video. I know you'll love it. SHAPES.  Flashcard set included.
