I'm sure all of you have been watching in horror, watching the devastation brought by Super Typhoon Haiyan. The world, our lives, can be a very fragile place. And because it is so fragile, it is so precious and imperative that we help out when we can.
In my work both training teachers and in educational technology with EnglishCentral, I've had the honor to visit the country and work with so many fine Filipinos. I can't say enough about their professionalism, abilities and especially how pleasant and down to earth they truly are.
So I'd like to ask members of our community to help the victims of this horrific typhoon in the Philippines. I've been on the phone with people there and I'm told the best way is to donate through The Philippines Red Cross. Trusted organization where our donations will immediately make a difference in aid/equipment.
I'm also offering the incentive of a free EFL 2.0 Supporters upgrade (value $29.95) for all who donate. This is what you get (a world of files/resources/access). Just do one of the following:
1. Donate through the Red Cross site below and send me email@example.com your receipt of donation + your EFL Classroom 2.0 user name. I'll upgrade you.
2. Become a Supporter here on EFL Classroom 2.0. I'll tally the donations and weekly make a group donation and post / update here. Click here to pay and become a supporter (be sure to be logged in)
I've started things out with my own donation and this offer of free supporter membership. I challenge other membership sites to do the same.
Now over to you ..... We can make a difference.
