It is great to show and offer students many examples of English language in use. Meaning, students appreciate that there are many ways to say the same thing and like to see the "nuance" of the English language. 

Here are some images showing different ways / expressions to communicate a similar thing. Might be handy.  Also, view as a slideshow  or you can purchase and edit in ppt.   If interested in this kind of approach, you might be interested in my ebook "Get TALKing" which has 28 lessons all based around language chunks.

Um... I'm not sure that the insults/"redneck" language chunk cloud has much value for English language learners, but that's not the most egregious chunk/phrase on the page. In the top one, "Saying you don't like something," it includes the word "gay." I think we can all agree, especially with the number of high-profile bullying cases in the last couple of years, that that word should not be there. Not something we as teachers should be teaching.

I get your point but the point is "if" you are going to teach swearing (and there are valid reasons to do so, with certain types of learners, with certain needs), isn't it much better to teach them the word and ALSO teach that it isn't something right or appropriate?  It's a good opportunity to depower the word and get students to reflect on the fact that knowledge of something, even bad/horrid, is better than the ignorance thereof.  It's all about the sensitivity and skill with which the teacher presents this language - me thinks.
