About

Learn Free - a great resource

Learn Free is a great site for your students to visit and get "practical" lessons focused on the language they will use in daily life. It is very attractively designed and has a series of modules with audio and interactive (flash) exercises. Extremely easy to use, userfriendly. The site will keep track of the lessons you've completed and the use of audio is a great feature.

You have to register but it takes just a few seconds. Afterwards, you can work through the lessons and gain valuable practice with vocabulary for cooking / using computers / writing letters / math etc... Lifeskills. I used to teach immigrants in Canada (LINC - Language Instruction to Newcomers to Canada) and if I'd had this site for my students back then - it would have been a godsend! I highly recommend any teacher take a look and you might even be able to work a few of these lessons into whole class instruction!
