About

Kids love to draw. Heck, everyone loves to draw. (see my blog post, "The Draw of Drawing" for many ideas) And Odopod's Sketchpad is the absolute best on the Web. I've long had it on our site map (look at the bottom category). However, they've recently redesigned and it is cooler than ever!

With the sketchpad, you can make a sketch and name it / save it. Simply drag your mouse to the bottom of the screen and click the SAVE. By dragging the mouse to the bottom, you open the menu and can choose the size and color of your "pen". It works marvellously. You can even "clone" an existing sketch and build on it - saving it as your own...you'll have to quickly register to save sketches..... This works as the perfect online whiteboard/chalkboard when teaching. Especially if you have an interactive whiteboard where your finger can be the pencil! Talk about finger painting! A cool online way to write/draw.

It gets better. Play pictionary with your students, with Odopod! Click the "Sketch Slideshow" and have your students guess what is being draw. Entrancing! Give points for correct answers and get your own students inspired to draw their own. Odopod rocks!
