About

scrabble2Scrabble.

It's an iconic word, game. I'm surprised we don't use it as an adjective - like, "I've been scrabbled".

Today, I was going over some of my past writings, all hidden away in boxes and notebooks. Came across a "feuilliton", a reflective essay that I wrote about scrabble years ago. I won't bore you with it - but I will share some great info. and amazing resources for Scrabble.

{ caveat: I'm not a big fan of using word games in the classroom - but they do have their place, like a dictionary does }

1. Watch this "Crazy" presentation about Scrabble. 'nough said, it will speak for itself.

It probably doesn't mean much... I bought a child's hanbok top. It is old, silk, and so pretty!

I think a for-fun discussion on various writing systems would be... FUN!

Ellen,

My second half says it must be someone's name. She can't think of anything else.

Lovely hanbok but it is a Chinese hanbok or has Chinese writing in the label. But there are a helluvalot of Koreans in China believe it or not, for many reasons.

Thanks, David, thanks David's other half :D That makes sense, because it is almost for sure made from Chinese silk. The hanbok is old, but unworn. The label is probably the name of the person or company that made it. It is also small, for a one year old, I think. The front panel of colorful triangles is pieced, like patchwork. It is so tiny and sweet! As are the sleeves. The top is only about 12"long.

Hmmmm... now I only need a new child in my life to wear it. Any ideas??
