OMG Ellen! I was sooooo in the mood to listen to this after a long day of this and that and these and those and suppose and who knows...

I'm still laughing to death and I must say -- for me, one of the things that has always most touched me in life, a thing I find of the highest order and sentiment (and Proust agreed with me too) --- is an old and spirited person!

What I mean is that when I see an elderly person who is feisty, who is their own spirit, who has "soul", I'm terribly head over heals in love with life, with them. They can be smiley and dancing through tulips or grouchy and cursing every few words - doesn't matter. What really is important is "the spirit that shines". These guys and gals have it!

If I don't when I'm older, if I"m all pooped out -- I'll take my own exit, that's for sure.

Thanks for sharing.

Last night, 3 or 4 am when I finished this, I took out my ukulele and tried to play "Fix You" (not bad, not too hard to please myself!)

I'm with you David! The documentary is pretty amazing too... in response to a question about sex at 80... "It just gets better. It lasts longer and you have more fun!"

Do you think that could be true? I've heard that's the big secret old people keep from us young ones... it's like hearing about a land I haven't reached yet.

I don't know if you picked up on it, but two people in the chorus died in the week before the big concert (the one where "Fix You" is sung). And you can see how Fred has aged from the first clip he stars in (Staying Alive) to the last. People talk about dying too in the documentary. The show must go on!

I'm glad I got to share it with you : )
