Why do you like being a member of EFL Classroom 2.0?

I've written a recommendation for EFL Classroom on ELTNEWS.com explaining why I like this site and encouraging teachers to join: EFL Classroom 2.0: A community by teachers for teachers. Do you feel that being a member of this group has benefited you as a teacher? If you have a few minutes, and feel inclined, I'd really appreciate if you could add your thoughts to the comments for my…See More

Guest Blogging Opportunity

Posted on October 1, 2009 at 12:10pm 6 Comments

I recently started blogging, as a way for me to learn more about using web 2.0 tools, and as a way to encourage teachers to use the internet for professional development. I'm still pretty new and figuring out what I'm doing, but I'm having fun and learning a lot :)

Now, I have a question for you.....

I'm starting a blog series that focuses on EFL for young learners around the world. Rather than looking for generalizations about EFL in any country, I want to focus on… Continue

Barb,

Thanks for the friendship! I hope the teaching goes well in Japan. I'm a big marathoner and always wanted to get to Fukuyoka - the capital of marathoning in Japan. Maybe one day.

Look forward to hearing more about your teaching this year.

Cheers,

David

Hi Barb,

Welcome to EFL Classroom! I see you already have some great friends here : ).

We have many resources that I hope you'll find useful and enjoy. Please visit our Welcome Page for lots of information about the community.

There's always more to explore. If you are looking for a quick, effective activity, Lessons in a Can can't be beat. We have a big collection of Karaoke songs, especially suited for EFL use. There are many sources for professional development throughout the site (here's one big example!) ...and I'm always finding something interesting and new just by clicking around : ). Let me know if I can be of any help in finding or using a resource, it really is my pleasure.

When you have a moment, please share your experience and resources with us, too. Introduce yourself, share more about your country in our World Connections, start or respond to a discussion, post a video or blog- let's keep creating a great teaching and learning community together!

All the best,

Ellen
