Reworked Fairytales?

Posted on December 23, 2009 at 12:43am 12 Comments

Does anyone know where I can find some fairy tales that have been reworked or have a different ending? For camp, I want my students to change a fairy tale and then put on a play. I want to show them some examples to inspire them. Any ideas?

Okay, so I am told that I should interview students to divide them into two classes for winter camp. What kind of questions would be good for this? Has anyone done this before?

My winter camp idea, any thoughts?

Here's my proposal for my winter camp. Any thoughts? Would middle school kids enjoy this? I really want to work on things like reading and writing. The kids I teach really need help in that area.

Jessica,

I'm stumped on that one! I have plenty of quizzes and stuff on intercultural communication but nothing really on "etiquette" and the subtle differences/things.

You might try the Small World news videos in our A/V player. There is also a nice video about Korea - American done by a teacher in America about the differences between her and her mother. It's in our videos

I'll keep thinking - none of those things is too "flashy".....Maybe make a post if you think others might help...

Cheers,
David
