This is a great background article and the Hoyt family might be a great start to a lesson on "who is your hero?"

Watch and view this video together in class also! Amazing story! Rewrite and retell the Hoyt story!

Its pure love... he has scarified himself for his son in order to put just a simple smile on his face and give him the chance to enjoy the life. He‘s shown, that disability cannot be a reason for living like a loser, it doesn't matter how much you are capable of doing whatever you like, it matters that you "want it" from bottom of your heart. If you want, nothing is impossible any more. Rick is a real hero, someone more than a father...thanks for sharing this great video

Yeah Mohammad, that is what it is all about - "taking what you give". I think the best way to live life is to give and in doing so, , give yourself so much in return. You said that very well.

I remember subtitling this video and I did so with such a pure impulse to share the message. Glad it has been received!
