This is also a more specific to EFL example of the technique/activity.
thank you for posting the Dictogloss Technique video...you have reminded me of this classic activity and I tried it with my second graders, here is the link:
Here is a nice template for a dictogloss lesson. Think of dictogloss as
1. Listening (students listen to the whole passage)
2. Remembering (students listen again and take notes, write key words for each sentence)
3. Writing (students recreate the original using their notes.).
